“Distance Learning - Design to Delivery - Giving Students a Voice”
April 5th, 2012
On April 5th, the Colorado Distance Learning Association held their first annual conference. The event was held at the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver. There were approximately 60 in attendance from all areas of the distance learning community - K12 education, Higher Ed, Business, Vendors and Government. Presentations included a great keynote from Michael Baker, a remote presentation from Carrie Morgridge and excellent breakout sessions on best practices. In the afternoon, we heard from students in panel discussions and learnt first hand what high school level and college level students like and dislike about the distance learning classroom.
The Colorado Distance Learning Association would like to extend their thanks to all those that participated and helped to make this event such a success.
DISTANCE LEARNING TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Colorado Distance Learning Association was honored to present the teacher of the year award to Georgine Dickens, a long time distance learning teacher with Morgan Community College.
The award was accepted by Georgine's brother.
